Red Handling, the handling entity of Norwegian airlines, signed a multi-year contract to operate the XOPS solution for their GSE tracking and Fleet Management in Spain, via their GSE management partner AES.

Operations Management System (OMS)

Level 2 of XOPS is the Ground Operations Management System (OMS) module that provides the ability to assign and manage all the vehicle and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) assets and personnel required to compete an aircraft turn around against a defined SLA through one Command and Control Dashboard screen.

OMS is a unique software application that integrates the data from XOPS Fleet Management System (FMS) with an airport flight information system, human resource system (for personnel roster and role allocation) and an airline Service Level Agreement (SLA), to deliver an automated schedule of tasks to complete daily fight turnaround activities.

OMS will optimise the GSE and personnel to be allocated to a flight turn around task on an automated, objective and consistent basis. This optimisation process ensures correct GSE planning and availability for any given flight schedule, and balances personnel assignment based on defined rules and qualifications. During Multiple parallel flight turnarounds, the progress of a flight turnaround, or any deviations and delays against the flight schedule, can be monitored and managed in real-time enabling appropriate pro-active management decisions to be made as needed.
